Image+Space is a new group of retail photography galleries set to open across China, with its flagship gallery in Beijing launching in February 2017. Reflecting the substantial growth of the medium in China, Image+Space aims to become a hub for photographers, art lovers and cultural enthusiasts across the country, combining industry expertise with a retail offering of high-quality prints of editorial and archive photography from across the world.
Each Image+Space location will feature a retail gallery space, photo production lab and café. Image+Space plans to utilise each of its locations to host regular events such as international exhibitions, workshops and masterclasses given by world class photographers, with the aim of fostering China’s photography community; promoting discussion and the exchange of ideas between photographers, enthusiasts and buyers; and further developing the already substantial consumer interest in the medium across China.
Our core mission is to provide high-quality, authorised, affordable photographic prints to the rapidly emerging Chinese market. Working with our global partners through our office in London to secure licensing and rights agreements with top photo agencies and archives, we will ensure that China’s consumers have access to the world’s best photography.
